Etiquette and Policies.

MEDICATION.

Please inform your artist (before your appointment) if you have taken or are taking any prescription drugs or over the counter medication.

APPOINTMENT.

Please arrive on time or early for your scheduled appointment. Any cancellation under 24hrs or No Show will result in a forfeit of deposit.

Hydration.

Please drink plenty of fluids in advance of your appointment and bring a bottle of water with you. Hydration is key to your comfort and healing.

MOVEMENT & MoisturizeR.

Keep your skin moisturized, leading up to the day before you go. During your session, stay still as possible and try to avoid moving, fidgeting, or laughing. Any unexpected movement can impact the artist and affect your tattoo. Help us ensure your piece turns out clean and perfect!

CLEAN SKIN.

Shave any area you plan to tattoo three days before and moisturize. The best outcome will be on clean skin that is neither hairy nor sunburned. Be careful not to cut yourself. We can’t tattoo over a healing cut or open wound. Any cancellation or reschedule of appointment due to skin damage may result in a forfeit of deposit.

SLEEP/EAT.

Sleep well the night before and eat well before your appointment. Your body needs the energy and blood sugar. Getting a good night’s sleep ensures your body will be fully functional and well rested. Eating will minimize the chance of you becoming nauseous or lightheaded.

ALCOHOL/DRUGS.

Absolutely NO alcohol or drugs the night before or on the day of. Alcohol and drugs thin the blood, making it hard to tattoo, hard to heal, and heightens the pain. Contrary to popular belief, alcohol and drugs do NOT ease the pain of a tattoo.

STRETCH.

Please stretch the night before and the day of. You might be put in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time, depending on where your tattoo is placed. It’s a good idea to be stretched and relaxed.

CLOTHING.

Wear clothing you will be comfortable in and don’t mind getting ink on. You may also want to bring something to keep you warm. You may experience “tattoo-chills” during longer sessions due to blood pressure drops and adrenaline levels.

FUN.

Bring something to entertain yourself…music, an iPad, a book. Though many artists like to chat with their clients, some artists prefer focusing on the art piece that will be with you forever!

posse.

With Covid restrictions, only clients and artists are permitted in the shop. Exceptions can be made, subject to occupancy capacity, with all parties asked to respect and practice social distancing.

breathe!

Just breathe. Breathing exercises will do your body good. It will help diffuse any painful moments and also oxygenate your blood for faster healing and less skin trama. Get your zen on and relax...

be still, breathe and enjoy the experience as much as possible. tattooing is supposed to be fun! Let your artist know if you need a break. communication is everything.

Payment and tipping

We take cash or credit: (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) Venmo and Zelle.

Your tattoo artist is a personal service provider, much like a masseuse, hair dresser, or waiter. If you’ve had a pleasurable experience, a tip reflects that, with the norm being anywhere from 15-25%. Tipping demonstrates the value you give to the workmanship you will now wear forever. Every tip is greatly appreciated!
